"My desire to approach
the animal theme from different
angles brought me to work
with dead animals, in an almost
scientific way, and with a great
respect bordering on animism.
The idea is simple :
I do a memorial act to artificially
counteract the inevitable
decomposition of the body.
The body of the animal is
transformed, and I render this
transformation poetic by giving
it the form of a possible journey
to the beyond, which allows me
for example to suspend the flight
of a bird by means of a photo,
or to bring the animal back to life
in video, image by image." N. P.
